Morgan's 6th largest market outside the U.S. in terms of 2012 revenues.  With 843 employees and six offices in different Brazilian cities, J.P. Morgan is continuing to expand its presence in the country across all lines of business.

As the Head of Human Resources for Brazil, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end oversight for HR services across all lines of businesses in Brazil and the prospective Brazilian offices. You will be part of the Latin America Human Resources Regional Management Committee, the Brazil Management Committee, and report to the Head of HR LATAM.

As the head of HR you will partner closely with the Local Brazilian business heads, SCO, Legal department and other appropriate regional JPM officials to advise and establish the HR priorities and solutions needed to meet the business priorities.  This role is critical to success of the franchise in Brazil.   You will also partner closely with HR colleagues across lines of businesses and HR Services Delivery, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, International Benefits, Risk & Control, Regulatory, Employee Relations, Expatriate, among other areas, to promote a scalable and sustainable operating and control environment for HR in Brazil as well as enhance employees’ experience. 

Responsibilities: 
·         Provide oversight for HR services in Brazil, end-to end and cross Lines of Businesses
·         Develop and drive the end-to-end HR strategy for Brazil across all HR disciplines
·         Develop and drive the people agenda to attract, develop and retain top talent, ensuring alignment to the business strategy and priorities and taking into account the global and local perspectives
·         Act as the trusted advisor to the business and its management and employees
·         Provide escalation point for HR and ER related matters across LOBs
·         Stay current on local job markets trends, regulatory changes and implications to HR policies and processes and competitive landscape dynamics
·         Foster a robust Risk & Control environment within HR
·         Partner with HRSD and subject matter experts to review critical HR processes and support overall issue escalation and resolution
·         Represent Brazil in senior HR forums as well as business meetings in the region
·         Consult on a broad range of people-related topics, including employee relations, leadership development, succession planning, recruitment, compensation, organizational design, diversity and employee advocacy
·         Engage with internal and external key stakeholders, including internal and external legal counsel, corporate tax, finance and regulators on Regulatory matters
·         Partner with HR colleagues of all levels to drive efficiencies and leverage best practices across Corporate Investment Bank as well as other LOBs

Qualifications

 

Requirements:
·         Strong HR experience in Banking or financial services strongly preferred
·         Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across businesses
·         Strategic thinker and ability to connect the dots and anticipate issues
·         Exceptional consulting, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess situations
·         Creative thinker and pragmatic problem solver who is able to develop succinct recommendations and implementation plans
·         Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a very fast-paced environment
·         Strong project management skills
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Possess a commercial mindset
·         Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnerships with clients and HR colleagues; ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and management
·         Demonstrated ability to provide HR consultation to managers and employees on issues regarding leadership development, succession planning, staffing, compensation, employee relations, policies, and performance
·         Demonstrated ability to manage significant change agendas
·         Ability to work in a highly matrixed and global environment
·         Possess an ability to multi-task and prioritize
·         Ability to manage confidential/ sensitive information
·         Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish
